Malaga hosts popular tattoo convention

Malaga is fast becoming celebrated as a city famed for its art and its reputation will be boosted this weekend when the city hosts the fifth edition of the Malaga Tattoo Convention. Held in the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos in Malaga, from Friday (today) until Sunday, the event is expected to attract hundreds of tattoo and body piercing fans from around the world.

The convention, which has become a popular gathering of European tattooists and piercing specialists, will also offer live music and dance, workshops and body painting for children. There will also be a competition with categories such as black and grey, traditional, tribal, oriental and realism.

Tickets for the event, which is sponsored by Alkimia (specialists in tattoo and body piercing supplies), cost 15 euros. Two and three-day passes are available for 25 and 40 euros, respectively.
