Italian tennis player Stefano Taviglia claimed his second ATP Challenger title on Saturday after seeing off Argentinian Guido Andreozzi 6-3 6-3 to claim the Casino Admiral Trophy on centre court at the Puente Romano tennis club in Marbella.
Following the final, Travaglia said: "I will continue to work hard and try to grow with the aim of getting into the top 100".
His defeated rival, Andreozzi, could consolidate himself with victory in the doubles tournament. Alongside Uruguayan Ariel Behar, the Argentinian beat the Slovakian pairing of Martin Klizan and Josef Kovalik 6-3 6-4.
Travaglia, 26, is 123rd in the world ranking, and follows in the footsteps of Alberto Montañés who won the last, and until now only, edition of the tournament back in 2012 (under a different name).
This time, though, the tournament is here to stay for another two years at least, with both future events also coinciding with Holy Week - a major plus for the regional economically.
