Torrequebrada Hotel set for relaunch after being sold

The new owners are the Estival group based in Catalonia, who have purchased their first hotel in the region

The 350-bedroom Torrequebrada hotel on Benalmádena Costa has been sold by the Banco Popular group.

The new owners are the Catalonian-based Estival group and this is their first hotel in Andalucía. At a meeting with travel agents, Estival explained that the change to the new owners, from the existing operators, THB, will take place in low season.

A refit will take place, however there has already been a lot of renovation work carried out by THB.

In 2011 the hotel lost one if its original five stars when previous owners went into administration. Estival says it aims to keep it at four star premium for the time being.
