'Pink Ladies' charity gala raises 3,750 euros for cancer care

The money will go towards the Spanish Association Against Cancer's service for foreign residents on the Costa del Sol

The 'Pink Ladies' from the Mijas and Fuengirola branches of the Spanish Association against Cancer (AECC) raised 3,750 euros as a result of their first charity gala, held at the Valparaíso restaurant in Mijas on Wednesday.

The gala, attended by over 200 people, was organised with the help of former professional football player, Roger Wedge.

The Pink Ladies form part of a service for foreigners offered by AECC, composed of volunteers who speak different languages, covering the extensive services offered by the AECC for cancer patients and their families.
