Taylor Wimpey and La Cala Golf announce a new development

The joint venture between British constructor Taylor Wimpey and the La Cala Resort group is proving an enormous success, according to representatives of the two firms.

They say properties are selling well, and they have now just announced that a new development is to be built. Called Grandview, it will consist of 40 apartments and 20 luxury two and three bedroomed penthouses with solariums on the front line of golf, and will be completely integrated into the surroundings.

This latest project is part of a schedule announced some months ago by Taylor Wimpey España, who said that it planned to invest over 125 million euros on new residential developments over the next ten years, at least.

Sales and Marketing director Marc Pritchard says the whole area around La Cala de Mijas and Estepona is proving very attractive to purchasers, especially those from abroad, and points out that property prices on the Costa del Sol are expected to increase.

The Grandview development will be completely private and enclosed, with communal gardens and swimming pools. The first phase of the project is expected to be completed by November 2019.

A few months ago, Taylor Wimpey y La Cala Resort presented the second and third phases of the Horizon Golf project in La Cala de Mijas, as the first part of a macroproject involving 125 million euros of investment. Those properties have cost the two companies around 11 million euros, and the first homes are expected to be completed in the forthcoming weeks.
